Mitsubishi Galant "N" flashing light?

Car has been acting weird recently and it stops after the "N" light keeps blinking on the dash board. Anyone got this before or knows what could be the problem? Thanks.

The blinking N can mean transmission problems. You need to have it looked at before it gets worse and more costly.
