Missing Voicemails!

Does anyone know how to recover missing voicemails? I have had several people tell me that they left me a message, but the voicemails are not shown on my phone, or in my inbox.

Is there anyway to find these voicemails? Does anyone know why this is happening? I am also experiencing some problems just receiving calls...
 
Well if they are not in your inbox when you call your voicemail then I am not so sure they left a message. But on the flip side they may have and there may be something wrong with it. Call verizon and have them reset your voicemail. One question your inbox is not full of saved messages is it?
 
I am positive they left me a voicemail because they were angry that I didn't call them back. My mailbox only has one message saved, so I am not sure that is the problem. Verizon hasn't been very helpful; they just advised me to reset my phone and update the tower....

I am also learning that quite a few people don't even get an option to leave a voicemail. They get a message saying I'm out of the area and are disconnected. I know several of these calls occurred while I was in an area with full service and my phone was on.

Has any one else had problems similar to these? Any way to fix them or potentially retrieve the voicemails?
