Missing Some Even Transponders

Don't know how much you paid, but you also have gotten it from our tech 3 dep. for 89$ per LNBF. At least you make sure to have a brand new one at that price

Really Agent Express V, you do surprise me.............

DPP is not licenced by Express Vu, DPP is not used officially by Express Vu, therfore DPP LNBF's will not be SOLD by Express Vu......

Do you even know what a DPP LNBF is.?

I got my DPP Dual LNB for about $40 U.S. including shipping.

Works great

I also have a DPP-500 Switch that works great with my 5100 and 9100 PVRs. Best thing is that the PVRs both correctly detect the switch as a DPP-500

I would recomment this solution for anyone who just want to run 1 cable to any dual tuner PVR.

Having a similar problem with my 9200 even channels - the signal is quite a bit lower than that of the odd channels. Anyone experience this problem or can anyone suggest a cure? tried changing the cable from the dish to the sw44 1b port but no change.

Thanks for that, I am amazed that they are still holding 5100's at NESA for warranty replacements.

When we do replacement we replace by the same model client had...NESA has sufficient quantity in stock, since they fix the unit once they receive it and use it for future client after.

The only model that is sometimes replaced by another is the 2700, which sometime gets replaced by 3100

Nimiq 1 you have to understand that i'm an agent, not an installer! I don't know the different LNBF's and it is not my job to know them. I admit I do not know what a DPP LNBF, and my comment was just to the fact that TECH3 also supplies LNBF, it didn't say that they will supply him the same he got!

But that was what you implied.

Even as an Agent you and the rest of the Staff should be made fully aware that DP and DPP are not licensed by Express Vu and therefore should not be used officially.

Not at all!!! We already have enought to know at customer service (billing, troubleshooting, promotions, ect)...for us not to bother knowing those details. If a client has a problem with LNBF we have to transfer him to TECH3 anyways, since they are the one who would send the replacement. They would be able to make the difference and advise the client

What you are asking us is the same as if I told you to give me the details of the promo that the client suscribes to. As tech departement this is totally not your departement and you probably won't be able to give me all the details...

Hi sbabcock . . . any update with the new DPP LNB, did it correct the problem.

I've been losing more even TP's on my 5900 this weekend. I think it may be heat/sun related. As it gets a little better early morning and late evening. I wonder if the sun beating down on my LNB all day is slow roasting the internals.

Yes - New DPP fixed the problem. Been up and running for a week now - all is good.

Also though it might be heat related as the problem was worse on hotter days.

I has a similar problem with a stacked LNB on a *C system, only the stacked frequencies were failed.

Basically equivalent to a DP LNB.

I wonder what goes in them?
We've had 13 consequitive days of above average temperatures, so you might be onto the heat thing.

I just replaced my DPP lnb that has been in service for the last couple of years. Same problem here a couple of weeks ago when we had a bit of a hot spell and my 5800 started losing channels. In my case it was the even numbered transponders that were acting up.Strange thing was the 9200 didn't seem to be affected. When I replaced the lnb today, I noticed that the old one was quite warm. Weather wasn't a factor as it was cloudy and the temp was around 18C. I checked the new lnb after and hour or so and it was cool to the touch compared to the old one.
Sure hope this one lasts a little longer. :)
