I hear a lot of people talking about how wonderful this show is but to me it just looks like a bunch of chavs with superpowers. Is this a brilliant show or is this one for the chavs.
Because if I make a this thread and everyone says that its chavy rubbish for chavs then I won't bother watching wheras now I know that it isn't I will start to. Does it matter?
I was going to say that. It's not meant to be a comedy. There's funny party but mainly from Robert Sheehan's character.
I really like it. It took me a while to watch because I never seen it when it was broadcast so I had to catch the repeats earlier this year but it was worth it.
I'm looking forward to it coming back.
In relation to the chavvy thing... I think it's far from it. It's easy to label something "chavvy" just because of what the characters are portraying.
What, you have just taken what I said and completely blown out of proportion. If I saw an advert on Faulty Towers it would clearly be a comedy, Dad's Army would clearly be a comedy set in the war, Spooks would clearly be a Spy Action-Thriller and Star Trek would clearly be a sci-fi.
When I saw the ad for Misfits it was a Chav Superhero Show last time I checked that wasn't a genre. Now I know it's not.
Fantastic programme, i wouldnt say its a comedy though. Well drawn characters in it, and well acted. Can't wait for the next series, and a great idea, young offenders with superhuman powers!
I only watched the first episode because I used to live on the horrible estate they film it on, but got into it, and am very much looking forward to the second series
