My 1999 Toyota Solara is experencing a viberation sensation and the check engine light is flashing. I believe it may be an Misfire; is there anything I can do to fix it myself? I have to leave to go home for Christmas soon and I am really trying to get there as fast as possible. Thank you so much.

Spark plugs of late model Toyota last over hundred thousand miles.Misfired from ignition coil is more common, next is fuel supply, filter or injector.

Like Eric said, the OBD II scanner will read the trouble code to tell you what the problem it. If it is a bad sparkplug, OBD II will tell you which one is bad,. If so, change all of them at the same time. I'd use platinum, dual electrode plugs. No worry about cam belts- they started using steel chains again since 1998.
