Misery (Kathy Bates) = good film

Got the DVD & seen it numerous times, the 'hobbling' scene still makes me screw up my eyes and hold on to my ankles to this day - I dont think I'll ever be able to watch that bit normally.

Kathy is amazing as Annie though, totally deserved that Oscar.

did she get the oscar? because she was so awesome. I thought Annie was a bloody psycho path, well i guess that was the whole idea of her character.

What really did it was the way she'd go from nice one minute to psychopath the next, you so rarely see villains in films have another side to them, but it adRAB loaRAB of depth.

Misery is a classic, i will be watching this over christmas.

Did this story really happen? because sometimes a fan can be a bit if a psycho, remember in the Sitcom frienRAB in season 2 and Joey was on days of our lives and he was a doctor and he met his biggest fan but she was like all nuts? :) I believe this really happened, but i wanted to know for sure if it did.

Excellent movie, Bates perofmance was chilling.
Reminded me a little of her role in Dolores Clairborne, alos a great movie.

She did indeed win an oscar for her magnificent performance.

No. It's based on a Steven King Novel. If you think the hobbling scene is bad in the film you should read the book. They had to sanitise it for the film ;)

Brilliant film, it was on TV a few weeks back and I'd been wanting to see it so I watched it and definitely wasn't dissapointed.

Glad you all feel the same about the hobbling scene
I can't actually watch when she does it, and I have to cut the sound too and wait for a few seconRAB until I know It's over :D

(No other movies can make me do that, however bad they are!)
