I haven't seen this yet, but other half has and he told me that there's a couple of scenes that will make me jump.

Anyone else seen it?

And what's your thoughts?

BTW...I like Keifer Sutherland as an actor and that's why I'm keen to watch this movie.....although not on my own if my hubby's account is anything to go by. :D

Seen this movie it's quite good has a few jumpy bits but there's one bit in particular that's not quite so jumpy but more of a "hide behind the hanRAB peek through fingers watching" type of nasty bit! Eww!

I watched it the other night and I really enjoyed it. A pretty creepy atmosphere throughout, good story and good acting. I also like Kiefer Sutherland, and he was on good form as ever. Definitely watch it, it's a good film :)

I realised afterwarRAB that I had also seen the original version of this, a Korean film called 'Into The Mirror'.

Watch the original and don't waste money on the remake, the remake is terrible for the most part and Sutherland is awful in it and some of the dialogue was terrible. MASSIVE letdown from the director after two excellent films before.

There is one creepy scene in a woman's bathroom, but will not say anymore.

Saw this today and it's one of the better Hollywood horror films for a long while - nice build up with creepy scenes and a few sudden things that make you jump.

The film did leave quite a few unanswered questions but in a way that was a good way to end the film.

I always thought lots of mirrors were a bit creepy!! :D
8/10

Saw it yesterday and thought it was alright. Kiefer got on my nerves a little bit but there were a few scenes that I thought 'eww'. didnt make me jump tho

It creeped me out just enough for me to want to turn my bedroom mirror around when I got home (I resisted though!), but overall it was a pretty average film. I thought it got a bit ridiculous, rather than scary, towarRAB the end. And to be honest, I still don't really know what on earth was going on. :o

I saw this today and i thought it was rubbish to be honest! I can't believe i paid good money to watch it! I was tempted to leave halfway through but couldn't.

I'm a fan of Keifer Sutherland but for some reason i just couldn't get into this. The concept was great, the film was just sh*t!

The bathroom scene with Amy Smart and Paula Patton's breasts were the best thing about the film! :p

I noticed that too at a couple of points in the film! It wasn't meant to be funny, it just was! The bad dialogue probably didn't help matters! :D

It was the "Think of the children!!!!!" line that got me :D

Also, when he was
obsessively painting his son's mirror
the whole cinema was laughing!!

I was laughing at them
painting the picture frames, you know, take them down off the wall and chuck them out instead of wasting time painting them...

Thanks for your replies. :)

I can see it's a bit of a hit or miss.

I actually quite enjoyed it and did jump a couple of times.

I wouldn't say it's up there with the best scares, but the premise of the movie was interesting. It's just a pity that it was OTT at times. Mind you I found The Ring suffered from the same thing.

Thanks to the posters who mentioned that this is a Japanese remake. I was unaware of that and will certainly look out for the original. I think the Japanese originals are far superior to the remakes in creating atmosphere and spookiness...whereas their American counterparts seem to concentrate more on graphics.

Nevertheless, it was worth a couple of scares.....but nothing that'll keep me awake at night. :)
