I am trying to install mIRC. I went to the mIRC homepage, clicked download, followed the instructions and allowed it all the access it asks for. When I try to run the program though, it says "The file this short cut directs to has been moved, do you want to delete the shortcut?". So I check my program files and the installer has downloaded everything *except* the IRC chat itself, I have all the help text, etc. Obviously this led me to check the help section. However, it doesn't offer download help other than "click download". The help is dedicated to how to use IRC. I tried going back and downloading it from the download page instead of the homepage (where there is also the download button) and I have the same problem.
I couldn't find any help on google, as it seems I'm the only one, or one of few, having this problem. Please help!
Thanks in advance.
That was the same page I tried the 2nd time, and I still had the same problem. For the heck of it, I tried it from your link too and I still had the same problem. I tried un-checking all the help text files, etc and the only things that comes with when I download the chat client is the defaults folder and the uninstall. In the defaults there are only configurations and settings. I am running vista by the way.
