Mini-Review The Song Above You

It was k. That frolicking grunge rhythm was nice, especially the drum-playing. But the Eastern guitar stuff didn't really work with that, IMO, and the song was too slow. I would have preferred more conventional guitar shredding, but that's me, I'm boring and predictable.

6/10 Sorry, not really my style. I see the appeal, but I'm not into muffled vocals and guitar that sounRAB like it's plugged into a homemade amp being recorded by a tape player.

7/10 That was quite a nice song. Not something I would normally listen to, but I'm always looking for new things, and lately stuff to keep me in a good mood, so I might check it out. In a sense it reminRAB me of Beach House, which I've heard one album from and I don't really get the hype. I don't see why I would like this any more than that, perhaps because I haven't heard of Warpaint and therefore haven't heard any hype that could make me say "whatever". Listening to it again. Yeah I like it alright, but maybe it's not something I'll bother investigating after all. I think it's a little more straight-forward and less pretentious than Beach House? Lol I might get shit for calling Beach House pretentious. It has more energy too, it's not so restrained.

Airliner - "Clockwork Creep"

The sound's a little messed up in this video, it's drowning out the vocals quite a bit.

I've certainly been listening to my fair share of Tim Buckley as of late, although I've predominately been focusing on the Goodbye and Hello album. This is likewise delightful. His more "psych-folk" compositions are what tend to draw my interest, and his voice along with the instrumentation on the track make this a really wonderful listening experience. Unlike many of my peers, I prefer Tim Buckley's music to his son's.

That's pretty decent. Sometimes lo-fi irritates me though, I don't really seek it out, I just like it if I happen to hear an album and it turns out good. I've only heard Bee Thousand from these guys, and only played it once. I feel it's something I'll return to eventually, and maybe appreciate. Perhaps I should try a different album. Anyway, 5/10.

Wow dude, this is pretty fucking awesome. I definitely think I'll be investing more time in these guys. Gotta love 90's hardcore at its best, thanks for this mate. 9/10

I'm actually really glad you posted this the same time as I tried to post something or else I might not have gotten a chance to listen to this. This is simply lovely, the dreamy atmospheric undertones in the beginning, persisting throughout the entire song, coupled with her beautiful voice. I'm loving this. 9.3/10

i saw them(400 Blows) a few years ago when they toured with Unsane....honestly i was really let down...i was expect some insanity....espicially from the vocalist....but he barely moved....but it was louder than ****....actually it took some time to get the hearing to 100% after the show

as for the Opal track....wow....i love it....and please suggest an album to look into...a perfect mixture of 80's death rock and psychedelic...for a 6 minute plus track it ended way to soon.....10/10

That song is incredibly awesome, and Man Man are incredible live, I love the playfulness of this song and the gypsyness of it, it makes me so happy. Great band, song and album. 9/10
