Mini-Review The Song Above You

^Hmmm...this is one of those songs that I'm usually totally indifferent to. But on some rare occasion it can suddenly hit me and I would love it. But, this is not one of those occasions.

It's really not the sort of music I'm immediately attracted to, but I gave it a listen. The only problem I really have with heavier music of any sort tenRAB to be because of the vocals, but the vocals on this weren't half bad. This was really well done, very strong instrumental work, and very acceptable vocals. Not bad at all.

Minimal Compact was a great band, maybe a bit forgotten, kinda like Tuxedomoon :( There are similarities in sound, but where Tuxedomoon is more on the avant-garde or neoclassical side, Minimal Compact is more straightforward post-punk with a lot of the dark wave atmosphere (well, not in this song). They were both a part of that European scene based in Brussels, although Minimal Compact came from Israel.

Pretty good song. I especially liked the instrumental part, wish it lasted more. 8/10

:) i'm in the process of writing a little essay and making a compilation for an Introduction to Krishna-Core.....108 is a fine example of New York Krishna-core and "Songs Of Separation" (album) is a great place to start
