mini motor bike 50cc 2 stroke?

mini motor been running fine friday but on sat it started loosing power . when i picked back tyre off the floor and rev the bike it just got slower and slower then it just stopped know it will not start at all and if i do get it to tick over any movement off the throttle it stalls checked carb looks ok its clean spark plug is black and oily and the piston rings look worn could it be the rings
