Country musicians have come together to mourn the death of fellow singer Mindy McCready, who died Sunday of an apparent suicide.
Shortly after receiving word that the singer was found dead in her Arkansas home, some of the genre's biggest names took to Twitter with their words of remembrance.

"My heart goes out to Mindy McCready's family. I knew her well. It's a horribly [sic] tragedy. May peace be with her son's," said LeAnn Rimes.

"American Idol" alum and country breakout star Carrie Underwood also tweeted her condolences. "I grew up listening to Mindy McCready... so sad for her family tonight. Many prayers are going out to them..."

Wynona Judd expressed her shock and sorrow at losing her friend in a series of tweets.
"Oh my! Mindy. Dear sweet girl. This is so sad. It just breaks my heart what addiction continues to take from this life," she wrote in one.

And, Dixie Chicks front-woman Natalie Maines had simple, somber words. "Too much tragedy to overcome. R.I.P Mindy McCready."
Other celebrities outside of the country realm, including Mario Lopez and Kristen Chenoweth have also tweeted their condolences.

McCready was also a participant on "Celebrity Rehab" in 2009, hosted by Dr. Drew Pinsky, and with the news of her passing the VH1 show has now seen its fifth death its two years.
Alice in Chains musician Mike Starr, actor Jeff Conaway, famed LA police brutality victim Rodney King, and reality TV star Jeff Kovar, all passed away following their stints on the show.
