Hi there,
When my 15 month old son was 8 months, he was diagnosed with a milk allergy. We were told by the allergist to only try giving him milk or dairy once every so often, just to see if the allergy was still there (the blood test revealed that it was not a severe allergy, although he was vomiting after eating dairy or things with milk product in it). So we pretty much stayed away from all milk products or stuff with milk in it until he was a year old, and at his 1 year appointment we asked his doctor about it. He recommended that we start introducing it to him again, to build his immune system to it, so that's what we began doing. He seemed to be doing really well, he hasn't thrown up after eating it as he did before the allergy testing, however sometimetimes if he's eating something (like mac and cheese, for example) and it touches the skin on his face, he will get hives. So I think he still has somewhat of an allergy to it. My question is, should we continue to give it to him since he doesn't seem to have any problems with it (besides the hives where it directly touches him), or could it be harming his insides?
Thanks in advance!
