Military Unit Question?

I don't know how to ask this question and it has multiple parts so I am going to give a hypothetical situation.

Let's say I have just graduated form basic training. Where do I go form there? Am I put into a into a squad of people or a battalion? When I am in this group of people and I am where I need to be, how would I address myself to inform people of my military unit. Would it be like: I’m form second division, ninth infantry battalion, bla bla bla?’

After basic training you will go to your MOS school.

Once complete then you will go to your unit. If you go into the Army more than likely you will go to reception first and get assigned a unit from there.

You will be part of a squad. The squad is part of a platoon. The platoon part of the company.

Service member will be able to id you from your patch. They mostly will ask what company you are in. You will also see your unit info on your orders.
