Military Signing Bonus?

ive decided and told my close friends and family that i will sign up for any branch of the military ONLY if i can receive a $45,000 to $50,000 signing bonus.. if i tell this to the people calling my house and cell phone will they stop calling me or keep bugging me trying to talk me down
 
The only way they'll stop calling is if you tell you that you aren't interested. If you mention conditions, it means that you are interested.
 
You are never going to get a signing bonus that high, and even if you did, I would advise you not to accept simply for the money. There are people's lives on the line, including yours, and that is NOT something to take lightly.
 
your only shot at getting that high of a bonus is the army. but i dont think they go that high anymore, it used to be 20,000 max reserve/guard (if you picked a job that had a bonus attached to it, you dont just get a bonus for joining the military and if you join you dont get it till after you pass your AIT which is no joke, i went to medic AIT and the fail rate was high and alot of people lost their bonuses) active army- 40,000 max (same applies) my friend got 60,000 because he signed up for 4 years active and 4 years guard.
 
wow unless you are going special forces, i seriously doubt you'll obtain that bonus.

im going nuclear power in the navy and the highest we go is roughly $20k (and thats really really high for most branches). only us navy seals and i think other special forces get the $40k sign on bonus.

and quite frankly if the only reason that you are joining the military is for some stupid bonus, your sad.
