The berthing areas for enlisted sucks four high. You get a pull out at the bottom of the rack to store your personal items. You can get a lot of things in there if you are organized. Most dangerous place is working on the flight deck. Take your pick of which is most dangerous. Always have your head on a swivel. Usually there is a petty officer in charge of your section. Discipline is more severe when at sea. DO NOT fool around with the opposite sex it. You will go to Captains Mast! Do make friends with the Filipino Mess Chiefs. Volunteer to help them. If you work hard for them you will eat better food than your peers. General quarters drills are frequent so know where you are supposed to go and what your job is. On a carrier there are Admirals and Captains don't eff around. Also if you value your ass DO NOT mess with the Marine Detachment on ship. When the have reac drills you better move out of there way or you will get effed up. I saw a Lance Corporal run over the XO one time and there isn't a damn thing you can do about it. Don't gossip on ship either.
