Military Men: How would you feel if your wife or sweatheart didn't appreciate...

...what you were doing for America? if they didn't would you stay with them? would you have started with them or married them in the first place? would you even care?
 
If a woman disaproved of my career , i couldnt see a future with them.
Inless i loved her , and she was willing to adpat to my lifestyle and be faithful .
 
yes, i would care. not only would it be nice if she appreciated what you do, but gave you some credit for it. but who knows mabey she just feels less important to you. yeah it crazy but us girls feel things that dont make any sense sometimes. or if your gone she may just feel lonley. if everything else is good and your for the most part happy than, give her a break and try not to discuss it to much. BUT, if theres more to be unhappy about than, you could find someone else. nomatter what she thinks, you should be appreciated, AND FEEL PROUD! I KNOW YOU SAID MEN BUT IVE BEEN WITH A MILITARY MAN AND CAN RELATE........
 
I had a civilian (prior military) husband he said i worked to much. I told him military is a way of life for me, not just a paycheck and to get over it or leave because i am not getting out. Well we were divorced, what pissed me off was we were married and he knew how my job was. Why did he marry me if he didn't like it? WHo knows but im over it ;o)
 
I'm a woman in the military (USAF enlisted) with a civilian husband. He doesn't like my job. (2w1x1 weapons loader and mechanic) He disagrees with my job choice because how many civilian jobs do you know that need a weapons (bombs, missiles, ammo, chaff, flare, etc) loader and mechanic?
My dream was to be an officer and a fighter pilot, but I'm too short. (He does NOT agree with that job at all because it directly kills other people.

We've been married for 4 yrs. We married just before I enlisted and we're still happy.
Sometimes I wish he was military too so he could understand my job and the military ing eneral better....but we're happy
