My fiancee and I have a plan for both of us to join the military. She's fresh out of High School, and wants to go to college to be a nurse. She has a 3.2 GPA so she's smart, and she's young. I told her to go to college for a nurse and go to OCS to be an officer in the Navy. That way she can use what she learned in an excellent way.
As for me... I'm smart. I got a 75 on my ASVAB and had a 3.6 GPA for the short time I was in school... I dropped out my Junior year to help my mom. I'm in DEP for the Navy.. but am torn now.. if she joins.. and I'm in.. we probably wont see each other much cause of our deployments. SO... I thought of joining the Marines/Army so I get one long deployment and am back long enough to catch her and spend time with her. Plus I want to FIGHT for my country... and I'm too much of a screw up anyway to make rank in the Navy...
Ideas? Comments? TIps?
