I felt so angry when i heard that my priviledge was taken away because i'm not a citizen and neither are my parents ... here's my story
I've been in the US Marine for little over 16 months now (since boot camp)
my MOS is admin, about 2 months ago, i was authorized to use some government information system where you can get any info from any Marine in the Marine Corps. But now because me and my parents aren't US citizen yet, they took away my privilege of using the system.
I've always been hardworking and faithful to the Corps and my fellow Marines and superiors. I helped everyone out a lot using that system. I've NEVER intended or just even think about doing anything else beside doing my work, my responsibility.
i didn't know my privilege was taken away 'til today when my coworker told me that they're cracking down "unauthorized" users.
I know it is the law that prohibits noncitizens to use the System but i still feel so angry and betrayed.

i'm so demotivated ...

oh by the way the system is called ODSE, if anyone knows what i'm talking about
thanks for the anwers guys, but first of all i'm not taking it personal, i'm just saying. and yes i'm getting my citizenship within 3 months. and yes i think it requires clearance. and i respect the military rule and regulations, i live by the book. i know other coworkers had their privilege taken away too so i don't feel bad, but either way, i don't use it for my own benefits, it's part of my duty

Why not become a citizen then? excuse my ignorance, i don't know your citizenship process over there but wouldn't that be the solution?

You take things too personal.....the rules are made for everyone.....not just you

....AND they are designed to safeguard lives.... Your solution is simple.....become a citizen.....

Does the system require a security clearance? If so then you would normally have to be a citizen to use it, as it is a requirement to be a citizen to get a security clearance. I don't think that it's anything personal against you though.
