Military family lifestyle?

My boyfriend and I just recently found out I was pregnant. To be able to afford to keep the baby, my boyfriend is going to join the military. Either the Air Force or Coast Guards. First off, what is the safest one he could sign up for? We don't want him getting deployed. He is probably going to get training to fix air planes or something. Now, my biggest question is: How can we live together and when? He needs to be here for the baby's birth, which will be late August or early September. I have read online after Basic Training, they get shipped to a technical college. Would I be able to live with him then? And how would this work? I need more information and can't seem to find anything about me living with him. I do know we will probably have to be married before I can move onto the base with him, which we are planning on. But I want to be with him sooner than that so we can both take care of our child. Neither of us really want him joining the military but it seems like it would be in our best interest with the pay, free education, insurance... We are going to see a recruiter as soon as possible and this idea just came up today. So basically, I'm gathering as much info from experienced individuals as I can get so I have some basic idea where this is going to be heading. We want the most for our child and are willing to put forth the sacrifices, but we both want to be there to raise him/her. I guess what I want to know is, I am in college. Could I transfer to the military college he will be going to and room with him so we can live together, take classes, and take care of our baby together? If not, is there anyway we could get an apartment close to his college instead of him rooming there? Or is there anyway he can go to any college he want instead of the technical college? Because we want to be back together again right after boot camp. Any information is extremely useful information at this point and I will appreciate anything anyone can provide. Thank you very much.
