My husband was diabled in iraq over 5 years ago in the army and he is now disabled with a heart condition, he's 35 and may die due to his health condition, we have only been married a couple of months. he has a daughter from a previous relationship. i make about 800 a month and work 36 hr every 2 weeks. In the event my husband passes will i be able to get a military check every month for myself and the daughter to cover the expenses he used to cover being he was disabled in service and what other additonal benefits we would recieve(GI bill, Va loans, (he started service at 18 and ended at 25), insurance?

Depends on who he puts as next of kin. Mos likely will go to his Kid or the childs mother until she is 18 She will probably be eligible for the VA programs. But depends on what his paper work states.

I am 100% sure his daughter will receive survivor benefits until she graduates high school. As for you, I dont think you will, since you two were not married before....but i am not too sure on that one.

I'm not sure about exact details but if you give a call the VA office (veteran's affairs) they have great information on such cases as yours and if they do not have the answers they will know who to call to get you the answers you need.
