Confused girlfriend!

I would love if someone here with experience or knows someone with experience in the Air Force could give me some details. Also what would be some reasons the Air Force would turn you down? My sister just talked to a recruiter and got denied for a confusion on her record. My record is clean but last year I received a curfew ticket(Ridiculous) in California and went back home(Never paid it!) would this effect my chances of joining! HELP PLEASE! I need some inside knowledge!!!!!!!
