Migraines

My friend gets bad migraines and has been prescribed 12.5mg of antenolol a day for them but my concern is his blood pressure is so low to start with. On most days it is 93/71. Should this be a concern?

Also when his migraines get really bad he takes Zomig Rapimelt but it seems he needs to take them more frequently lately. Does anyone have any advice or suggestions?

Also would it be beneficial to start a migraine diary?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

The only thing that I can think of that may help him is either a physical therapist or a chiropractor or both. My cousin had migraines for years and finally got relief from a chiro. If he is concerned about going to one, he can ask that the chiro. use an activator on him, a very small device, instead of hands on adjustment. My cousin's migraines finally went away then. She had tried everything else. I had severe whiplash from a car accident, and was getting headaches, I first went to a chiro. who also used the activator on my neck, it helped alot with the headaches, and I also went to physical therapy to have the muscles in my neck worked on because they were so strained, I could barely move my head. I was told both treatments together would work for me. Both treatments work on taking the pressure off the blood vessels going to the head that are causing the headaches. The physical therapy is hands on massaging the knots and tension out of the muscles, not exercises, it is called soft tissue massage. I don't know much about the medicine he is on so I am sorry I cannot help you there.
