Lord Z was more powerful than Rita, his powers surpassed Rita's.

When Rita wanted one of her monsters to grow tall - she had to throw her entire witch staff (that stick) down to earth.

but when Z wanted a monster to grow, all he needed was a little hand grenade.
 
I loved the White Ranger but Green Ranger was my favourite along with that dagger flute of his. The white ranger tiger zord theme was awesome :D

To be honest I thought the movie was great but probably because I was about 6-8 at the time. By the way if anyone is interested the guy that played Green/White//Red Zeo Ranger Jason David Frank is now in MMA
 
I always liked Jason, but when he was demoted from leader he lost something. And when he got an earring it was as if he was trying to be more like Tommy, which struck me as a shame!

Yeah, Justin became adult sized when he morphed - ridiculous! I mean, if he took his helmet off, would he be kiddie-head on adult body? Or would he actually age up when morphed? Stupid, stupid idea. The Turbo movie was pretty terrible as I recall!
 
Was great back in the day

There was a group of us who would pretend we were the power rangers.spent hours running around the park play fighting.

Loved the episode when Rita came back and married lord Zed.
 
lol didn't really notice but can see what you mean now. There were some great songs though like the Gold Ranger Theme and Power Rangers Zeo theme which was the last series I watched.

Does the guy that played the original Red Ranger Jason remind any one of Germany player Michael Ballack? Or is it just me :D
 
MMPR really was the best, if you go onto Youtube and see any clips or listen to the theme tunes from any of the series you will always find the common theme that people would say nothing beat the first one.

It's currently on power rangers:RPM or something like that, and I watched PR for around 12 yrs, and let me tell you, this current one must be the s****est of the lot.
 
I started to loose interest in power rangers the moment Rocky, Aeisha and Adam were introduced.

all 3 of them were cold, false, and didn't even seem bothered they were given jobs on the show.

On a side note, could somebody tell me why the green ranger had a gold shield on his chest, and the other rangers didn't?

was it because the dragonzord can only be summoned by a ranger that wears a gold shield...... I never understood this?
 
I really enjoyed the movie - yes it didn't fit into the TV series at all, but it was quite a treat as a kid to see what was really quite a cheap looking TV show on the big-screen with proper zorRAB, proper outfits, etc.

The only thing that I will perhaps never get over is that they changed the order in which the rangers morphed - wrong wrong wrong!!

As for this ABC re-boot, is it just a quick touch-up of the titles or have they changed anything else?

There was that interesting parallel when Jason was the Gold Ranger that his powers were intermittent and at risk of failing, just like Tommy's when he was the Green Ranger. I think, if it had been a show for slightly older kiRAB, we might have got more thematic stuff like that.

I read somewhere that Tommy becomes the Black Ranger in one of the newer series (Dino Thunder?) and makes some genre-savvy comment about having to go out and buy more black clothes!
 
I don't remember the Gold Ranger much (maybe I'd stopped watching by then). I remember VR Troopers and Masked Rider though.
It's interesting that any "new arrivals" to the group started out evil (Kat/Tommy), wouldnt be as a good story otherwise I guess.
Tommys powers sometimes failed as the White Ranger too I thought.
 
Didn't he have one as the White Ranger too?
Kim (Pink Ranger) was cute, so was Kat (new Pink Ranger - eventually). Jason and Tommy were cool, compare the way Jason and Rocky said "Tyranosaurus!" No contest - Jason all the way :D
 
I don't remember a Gold Ranger, I liked the original MMPR theme and the Green/White Ranger theme :D

The MMPR theme was also reused for the Aquatar Rangers, what was funny was they changed the start to "Go Go Alien Rangers" but in the last line they still sing "Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers", lol :D
I liked how sometimes the rangers had to think outside the box to defeat the monsters, there was one called Ticklesneezer (?) who just needed a talking to and wasnt really a monster I think.
