Either opt for hairspray, bobby pins, or a lot of hairclips. One of those really small claw clips or a single hairclip would probably do the trick if you do it right.
Hmmm just use a normal hair tie and
make it have that nice messy/fun look.

use a bunch of like bobby pins and clip like from hot topic or claires so it is not that boring . i kinda have the same hair cut but like a inch longer . but it use to be like yours
