**Mideast truce pact**

Well, I'll admit that my knowledge on the motive for that is pretty weak. Does anyone really know why all the Muslim countries want to destroy Israel? Is it because they're Jews? Is it because they occupy Jerusalem?
 
I wish this country had the sack on them that Israel does. Everything is so fucking political here why it seems like Israel is more like we used to be back in WWII.
 
If you think about it, in their eyes, terrorism may be the only way of getting anyone to listen to them. I don't at ALL agree with that, but they're in a corner.
 
And honestly....as sick as this may sound....I hope Hezbollah rockets Tel Aviv.

I don't want to see anyone hurt, but that will cause a major escalation and Israel can clean the rats out of the house so to speak.
 
they had more then 50/50 split in '47 and said no...

If Arab countries care so much about their "Palestinians brothers" why don't they give them some of their land??? Syria & Egypt are both bigger then Israel and could spare some land...

hell not only don't they give them land... they won't even allow Palestinians to enter..

And when you talk about Israel given more land... what you forget is that the whole country is only 8,000 sq miles... there's not exactly a lot play around with
 
That's like saying "Why didn't we give Missouri to the Israelis after WWII? It's not like it matters anyway." The fact is that the whole area was historically both Palestinian and Israeli. That's where I think this whole conflict stems from. The Israelis think that it's their land by heritage and right, and so do the Palestinians. Oh, and being Muslim, the Palestinians are probably pissed that they lost their land to Jews.
 
It's because their governments need to have someone to blame for their ineffective governing...

if they weren't all busy getting out of shape about Israel Arab countries would start looking inwards and start going after their own governments
 
That always gets me...

For years, the US was in Palestine's face about "free elections" and "democracy". When Palestine finally holds democratic elections, guess who wins? Hamas. And the US is up in arms again about getting Hamas out of parliament, even though they were elected by the people.

The US never wanted a free democracy in Palestine. They wanted an American democracy.
 
then why was it during the second world war that they where selling land to the Jews??

Israel didn't kick anyone out they left out of their own free will after the advancing Arab armies told them to get out of the way for their own safety since they where going to destroy the newly created Israel

Israel walked out, close up ALL settlements in Gaza and closed and locked the gate behind them. They have every fucking chance and they couldnt stop firing rockets at israel..

Hamas's charter states their goal is the complete destruction of Israel.

You think the US would be happy about them getting elected?
 
are you dense? look at how the land was split up in '47 and tell me that they didn't have their own country.
