Middle School Drama. Anyone have any advice?

So i was really really good friends with this girl and her name is julia just like mine. And then she got sucked into the whole popular thing and now i think she does drugs and crap like that and she just randomly started hating me. So today, on facebook, she tagged me in a picture where a girl (lets call her R) had her hair covering half her face and she looked emo cause her makeup was running too. And they laughed because they said thats what i looked like. I have never done this a day in my life, I have ONE picture on facebook like this and it was a complete accident and it said that right on the picture. And they kept doing it. And there "popular" girls and if they said anything to the people i hang out with they would for sure leave me so i cant do anything rash and cuss them out or anything and I cant ignore them because they keep tagging me like 24/7 and its all over my wall and it makes me look like a retard. I already deleted the picture they were making fun of, so I don't get it? What do I do. Please help? Its dragging me down, alot, and I've been crying over it when it shouldnt be a big deal. P.S. i dont want my parents or the school involved in it because then theyll make fun of me because i cant fight my own battles when i can i just really want to keep my friends?
