HarleyLdy61 has a good comment about gallbladder running in the family. I had my gallbladder out a few years ago. I found out later that my mother, her mother and her grandmother all had their gallbladders removed. My father had his gallbladder removed the same month I had mine removed. My son has had his removed. Talk about running in the family. The only symptom I had was heartburn. It started around 9:30 at night. I had gone to bed and could not get comfortable. I sat in a chair for hours - drinking a little ginger ale, taking some tums, etc. Nothing worked. I finally went to the emergency room around 5:30 am with 'chest pains' and blood pressure of 250/140. They tried for an hour to get my pain under control with all sorts of stuff and they finally found something that worked. By then they were convinced that it was not heart related and was more than likely gallbladder.
