My family doctor sent me to see a very good spine specialist. After seeing the specialist I had a follow up visit with my family doctor. He told me several things about my back that the spine specialist told him. One thing that he said was that my spine had a 20 degree bend in the middle area of my spine. He went on to say that the most a spine can withstand is a 15 degree bend with that certain part of the spine. He also told me that neither he or the spine spectalist have seen anyone in years who had a 20 degree bend in that area of the spine. He is now trying to get me in immediatly to a pain clinic to get certain muscles on the left side of my spine paralyed. They believe that this would allow for my spine to start to get back in alignment. My question is if my back cannot take more than a 15 degree bend and it happens to be at a 20 what exactly is it doing to my spine ?
