Hezballah is hell bent on blowing israel to shit, and israel is hell bent on seizing this opportunity to vent out a couple thousand years of frustration and oppression.
 
US-initiated peace talks aren't going to go anywhere when you send someone like Condi Rice to handle it. I don't care about her "credentials" to be a Sec. of State, when you have 0 respect outside of your own country you aren't going to be effective.

Israel isn't the unreasonable one in any of this. They've fought wars and been terrorized since they came into existance. Peace talks continually break down not to THIER unwillingness to compromise, but the Palestinians. When Clinton was in office, Clinton would have blown Arafat to get him to sign something, but he's the one that walked away and didn't even make a counter offer. They will accept nothing short of the total destruction of Israel.
