In February, I started going to the chiropractor. When she took x-rays, it was obvious even to me that there is a side-to-side curve in the middle of my back. Any ideas what may have caused this? I'm wondering if there's anything I should be doing besides chiropractic. I'm seeing on webmed.com that this could be caused by osteoarthritis or osteoporosis.
I have been having pain in the middle of my back, especially waking up in the middle of the night and unable to get back to sleep due to the pain. Usually, during the day, I have anything ranging from no pain to a pretty severe ache, depending on what I have been doing. I have been trying to sleep on my back on the chiropractor's advice and have been avoiding side sleeping. If I do sleep on my side, the pain seems to be aggravated.
