okay so i'm a health freak.
i have been in college for a month living off of microwave frozen dinner meals and 1. i am tired of it. 2. i am gaining some weight. which is freaking me out.
i have healthy snacks that isn't the problem.
but when it comes to what to eat for lunch and dinner... i don't know what to do.
i have a microwave and that is it.
i want to eat healthier! 1. it tastes better. 2. it is better for you. 3. it makes you feel better.
does anyone have any ideas or any recipes or websites that have HEALTHY microwave cooking???
thank you sooooo much!

(oh and i have a freezer/fridge too)
i'm a college student i can't afford health food store foods.

i buy Lean Cuisine meals. they aren't that unhealthy. just tired of them.
get a stove?
i'm in a DORM room.

There are companies that make healthier than regular micro dishes - just have to look for them at the supermarket ("Amy's" is one brand) or shop at a health food type store :]

for luch buy some whole grain bread, put some chicken or turkey or cheese on it (low fat cheese) and put some lettuce ad tomato or salad on it, it taste yummy :)

also whole grain toast and baked beans is actually healthy - you have the microwave

what does everyone else eat in college? ask them???

Microwave cooking will never be healthy. Microwaved food is harder for your body to use and can cause weight gain. I know that you are a student, but I highly recommend you get a "redisetgo" for your dorm room. It will cost about $56 with S&H. Your food will taste better, be healthier, and still will cook in abour 4-7 minutes. I had the old version and totally wore it out. I wish I would have had one when I was in college. http://www.redisetgo.com/?gcid=S12579x067&keyword=redisetgo

get frozen veggies and lemon juice. put water in a bowl with lemon juice or butter and boil them in the micro wave. buy healthy meals?
