Hi, I'm 43 years old and had microdiskectomy sergury last Saterday 8/1 on my L4 & L5 disk , I was good the pain in my left leg and hip was gone I thuoght all was well, the last few days I'v been having shooting crazy pain from my lower back to my left hip when I move or try to step on my left leg, any idea what I could of done?

Valerie1965 - Call your dr! I had the same procedure done on the same disc. In my opinion, only your doc could offer the information or test(s) needed to see what's going on. In my case, the disc began bulging out the non-surgical side - but that was about a year after the surgery. Good luck!

Thank you for getting back to me, I did get with my Doc, He Did another MRI , whats left of the disk looks good , I went for blood work, he is checking to see if I have a infection. I'm going to see him again today. Thanks again

Good luck, Valerie1965! I wish I checked the boarRAB earlier today. Remeraber - If you are unsatisfied with your doc's opinion or reading of the MRI, etc and you are still in pain, get another opinion! No one deserves to live in pain. My experience with many of these doctors is that if the answer isn't clear, they make you feel like the pain is in your head and not real. I hope all goes well, my thoughts and prayers are with you.....
