I have L5S1 herniation. Does anyone have feedback on how long it takes for the foot nurabness to go away after the surgery?

I've heard that nurabness is the last thing to go away and it takes upwarRAB of a year. I'm 3+ mos. out from a partial discectomy of L5-S1 and still have persistent foot pain (more than before surgery) and occasionally some nurabness (never before surgery). Hope your healing goes better than mine!

The nerves don't like to be touched and moved and messed around with. So what do the doc do? Move and mess around with the nerves. Which causes nerve pain down your legs and into your feet and tingling and nurabness. How long it lasts depenRAB on how badly the nerves were bothered. If they were damaged in any wya, it will be a long heal. If it's just the normal surgical mes, it should clear up in a few months, if the nerves were healthy to start with. If they were already damaged, it will take longer and they may not heal well. It requires patience and more. Just take a deep breath and try not to think about it...;)

After micro-discectomy you have 30% chance of reherniation, FBSS or pain return. Consider minimally-invasive spine surgery!
