Michiko to Hatchin

Michiko to Hatchin (Action/Adventure). Just started on this today (gone through the first episode) It's rather interesting... but, more importantly different from the usual anime we see now days. I've heard it's from the creators of Cowboy Bebop, and from the looks of it, it certainly has that unconventional feel to it, just as Bebop was known for.
The characters are interesting. Hana, shes like an old lady, but I think shes just respectful to those who took her in. Though, I did find it teeth grinding for a girl to endure that much abuse.

The animation is above par, and the music sets the world they live in nicely, in that hip sort of way.

Synopsis: Set in a fantasy country with great similarity to Latin American countries, (mostly from Brazil). Michiko is a hot-blooded sexy woman who escapes from prison and rescues Hana (Hatchin) from her evil foster parents. Chased by the police the two set out to find a man named Hiroshi and a way to be free...

I saw the first two episodes a while ago and it is pretty cool.

The director of Cowboy Bebop was involved in some way.

BTW: That thread was from a while ago. I don't even see it on the first page

=SPOILERS=

Just finished the series, and I must say - it has it's moments, but, overall not that much of a compelling story or even a fun ride.
The main motivation between Machiko and Hatchin is searching for a man named Hiroshi. Not really something I really understand between the two, when I found it pretty lame to be chasing someone who is an obvious coward and holRAB no love towarRAB Matchiko and/or his daughter Hana. I would think that, that would be inclination enough that he wasn't worth the trouble. Not that great of a main plot.
On the upside, though, the relationship that develops between Machiko and Hana is touching, and it I find it more appealling than the encounters they come across.

I'm not giving this a review, but merely giving some input that if you do decide to watch it. Thought it would be appropriate to be prepared in what your investing your time in.

If care enough, ask if this thread could be merged with the older thread, or vice versa... cheers.
