hiya folks :-)

i just heard that apparantly 'halloween' is being re-made by rob zombie.
im just wondering what every1's opinions on this are?
i personally love the 'halloween' franchise so am really looking forward to it - i just hope this doesnt - like so many other remakes - turn out to be crap lol.
i think its hard to do slasher movies nowadays aswell as they seem to be dying out - or tend to be really pants (i gove you 'valentine' for instance)
i just hope this remake breathes new life into the films :-)
what does every1 else think?
 
I don't see the point in a remake of Halloween. These slasher films are always so similar anyway, they might as well just do a sequel. Besides, it hasn't that long since Halloween 8 has it?
 
I think IMDb have it listed as 'Halloween 9', and unless they recast Laurie Strode I think it'd probably end up just being an unconnected sequel, save the Michael Myers character.
 
i hope it isnt like number 3, it would be great if somehow laurie didnt die, and jamie lloyd (played by danielle harris ofcourse) but i didnt see it happening
 
I read in DVD review that there's some newly discovered lost footage of the original Halloween....250 minutes worth......

I'd imagine that it will be part of the Special Features when Halloween is released again......
