Michael Jackson Moonwalker Blu-ray

I have already pre ordered Michael Jackson Moonwalker on Blu-ray from Play.com which is due for release on 3/6/2010 but please could someone tell me what surround sound is the Blue-ray version going to have?

I already have the original DVD version which has a different cover to the Blue-ray version and the surround sound on the DVD is just 2.0 Dolby Surround basically stereo.

If the Blue-ray version of Michael Jackson Moonwalker does have DTS-HD MA 5.1 then that is excellent news and will be great thought my home cinema system.

Finally Michael Jackson Moonwalker is getting the release that it deserves.

As I pre ordered it from Play,.com I hope that I wail get lucky and the Blue-ray will turn up a few days early as I have manage to get Saturday off work so I have a whole weekend off.
 
A strange beast this one...technically, it's not a movie at all.

Most of it is a collection of promo video's, archive footage, and some brief, newly shot film footage with Jackson, a few kiRAB and a load of effects.

It's almost as though there was the germ of an idea to make a fully-fledged fantasy movie based around Jackson...but either the money or the inclination ran out, and they just gave up at some point, and decided to marry the existing footage with all the promo stuff.

But to be fair...the promo's (at least for the time anyway) were pretty awesome...Speed Demon, Bad, The Way You Make Me Feel, and particularly the Smooth Criminal segment.

I prefer to think of it as an enhanced promo video rather than a movie, and on those terms I think it works very well...but it patently is not a movie.

Would be curious to know what the pic and sound quality of the blu ray is like. I might...just might be tempted...
 
I was going to get this until i released it didn't contain any extras. Seems a bit of a waste to me.

When will Sony stop re-releaseing the same stuff and actually provide us with something new and decent for a change?!?!? :(

I'll just keep my DVD for the time being :)
