Oh dear, Transgender 2 will be another gung ho America 'saves the world' explosion fest with Bay at the helm.

Sadly I didn't find the first either funny, exciting or worthy of the name Transformers. All that said I am sure there will be lots of people that will enjoy it, so good luck to them.

I hope we really will get more characterization of the TFs. Does Bay grasp the fact that they are sentient beings who are pretty much the same as humans? The Decepticons are thinking, sentient creatures just like the Autobots, not mindless thugs.

I'm hoping to see characters like Grimlock (hardline millitarist who resents Prime's squeaky clean approach) and Mirage (snobby, shifty and ambiguous, hard to trust) giving the Autobots shade.

Likewise I hope we get the likes of Soundwave and the ever-logical Shockwave. Maybe Runabout and Runamuck for some humour.

I liked many aspects of TF1, but what rankled was the way it seemed to be assumed that audiences could not relate to the robots, which is nonsense as the Transformers are sentient and have emotions.
