metro pcs motorolla ve440, my phones not letting me put songs as ringtones anymore?

i used my friends computer one day and put a few songs on my phone one day, and then i tried putting one of the songs as a ringtone and normally when i put a song as a rigtone i click set as ringtone and itl say ringtone set and exit, but when i try to set it it just exits and doesnt let me use them as ringtones anymore, but it only did that with the songsi put on my phone with her computer, then i addedmore songs from my computer and it still didnt work, sdo i deleted everything on my sd memory card and tried putting songs on there thinkin that would help, and it still doesnt let me, please help im in desperate need of ringtones
 
Maybe there was something wrong with your friends computer or maybe it could be your phone. Does your phone usually take songs from the computer as ringtones? It might not,but I guess your phone might be getting old even though i doubt that.
