In a poem I just wrote I have a line that says;
"Did original sin force us from home,
Like an animal pursuing another?"
Yes, it's a little religious, but really different than what I would expect to write. But does that sound good or can you think of a better simile? (I want the word like, so it's a simile.) Don't say that I need to come up with my own ideas, there's no reason not to take advice to improve something.
