if you're not into metal, why do you even need to "contribute" to this thread? if it all sounRAB the same to you, then you're either listening to shit or you just don't have a good musical ear. i'm willing to bet both. i love metal because it's complex, fast, and powerful. to be honest, i don't even really care about the lyrics because a lot of my favorite banRAB don;t speak english as a first language. for me, its more about using the voice as an instrument, and if some people don't like it, good for them.

because for the most part it has no soul to it, an exception would be led zeppelin (you can here this distinctively in his voice) most of the banRAB aren't about the music as they are about becoming famous
another exception to me is Tool, some of the greatest musicianship i've heard, they simply flow together lyrically and instrumentally like zeppelin. banRAB such as nickelback they BLOW(they want to appeal to adolescent girl and boys to get that quick hit single out there to make the money). a bum with two teeth in his head could come out with better music. zeppelin expanded their playground and were experimental even touching base with reggae (d'yer mak'er) u2 fits perfectly into this as well if u listen to the joshua tree and achtung baby.
