Metal Rash Allergies

Anybody allergic to metal? I cannot wear metal watcrabroadanRAB or stainless steel metal banRAB or buckles. I break out in a terrible rash that takes over a week to dry out. Besides ugly and messy nail polish painted on metal parts, would anybody have any suggestions on how to coat these things so they look half decent? Is there such a thing as plastic coating for metal? A certain type of glue that can be brushed on? I got a new watch as a present with a metal band and the pins need to be punched out and do not match enRAB for replacement of leather banRAB.
 
I have this too. I cannot wear watches, I can't touch any jewellery that is not gold or silver or stainless steel. But the worst for me are belts and the inside of buttons for instance on jeans that touch my skin.

I also can't wear deodorant because it has aluminum in it, I have found exactly one brand of organic deodorant that both works and doesn't make me break out in welts. But I have drawers full of deodorants that I tried once before finding this one type that works.

I have painted clear nail polish on metals on my jeans, but that wear off after awhile. My belt buckle always touches my stomach so I have to shop for a bel that has a plastic buckle. My best tactic is total avoidance.
 
I returned the watch and traded for a simular watch with a sport rubber watcrabroadand. I never heard of clear nail polish, but what would I know, I don't use the stuff. I'll give it a try on a belt buckle [I have tape rapped around the top].
 
I am hoping someone can help me out here... I am not allergic to all metal, my dr tells me I have a nickel allergy because I have had a constant, disgusting rash on my stomach, just below my navel, for over 3 years now. I have been to my dr. multiple times, and each time she gives me a perscription for a stronger cream, but nothing works on a permanent basis. Every thing I try, if it works at all, only works about 2 weeks, and then my body seems to build up an immunity to it and the rash comes back full-force. I have tried: Antifungal, Neosporin, Cortizone, Aloe Vera, Witch Hazel, Rubbing Alcohol, Hydrogen Peroxide, Lamosil, garlic, A & D ointment, and the perscriptions she gives me. I've also painted my belt buckles and pants buttons with clear nail polish, I have even stuffed a dish towel in my pants so my stomach doesn't touch my pants. I've switched soaps and shampoos. Absolutely no results.
Has anyone had a similar problem that is this persistant? I am at my wit's end, this rash is gross, it hurts, and even if it goes away for good I'll probably have a scar now. Please, can anyone help me?
 
My solution for the buttons on jeans is electric tape. I simply cut a square piece of electric tape and put it on the backs of the buttons. It works wonderfully. =) The rashes on the tummy are so uncomfortable. >
 
avoidance is good, i found creams that have antihistamine, or over the counter medicines, also helps sooth rashes, like you i also have a nickle allergy and cannot wear metal belt buckles and many piece of jewelry because many contain nickle. coating belts with clear nail polish works for a while, but you'll have to reapply it to the buckle.
 
Koula, I agree with your doctor, it is a nickel allergy, your belt buckle is likely rubbing against your stomach causing the rash! Stop wearing the belt, see if the rash goes away. Also be on the alert for the inside button from jeans as well, they have nickel in them as well
 
i have the same problem. i'm not sure if you've figured something out by now - if so, let me know what it is - but, have you tried sewing fabric over the metal exposed on the inside of your pants? my mother did that for me. she even had to sew an extra layer and it's helped a lot. i'm also looking for fabric belts right now. and replacing the buttons with plastic ones from wal mart or something would do you some good too.
