messed up nokia

I have a nokia 6085. It got wet and is now going haywire. I am not up for an upgrade yet, so I was wondering if I can buy one from somewhere like ebay and put my sims card in it and have it work just until i am due for an update.
 
If you can open ur handset than clean you circuit board with petrol and dry it well after that try switching on ur phone i hope this may help you..
