1. How have message boards had an impact on your life?
It really gives me the chance to be creative. I am at the roleplaying boards and its so cool to create stories with other peoples so its really nice.
2. How much of your life is consumed by message boards?
It doesnt really 'consume' my life. It's a hobby that I enjoy to do, I usually do it while doing other things. I think that it is very easy to multi task on message boards.
3. How have message boards affected your family life and friendships?
It hasnt affected my family life at all. When I lived with my parents we would be watching TV together and sometimes I will just get on the laptop with them and be on the message boards while talking to them and watching TV. Friendships, I actually made some here. I role played with a girl that lived forty five minutes away from me we went to the mall together and we have still been friends after six years!
4. Do you see message boards as a positive or a negative?
I think of it as a positive. You get to talk about things you enjoy talking about...getting spoilers expressing opinons and just having a little bit of fun when you are incredibly bored! I love the message board.

Message boards haven't really impacted my life significantly. I mean... I've met some "friends," passed time and learned some new things but I could go on living life normally without them. They just make for good fun at this point in my life. I guess what I'm saying is that, MB's have had an impact but nothing serious and life changing.

I can't really give an exact answer to this cause it varies day to day. I spend a decent amount of time on them but I have other daily routines that take of consume most of my time so... I guess I'm gonna say that I come on for a few hours each day. Roughly three or four but it really depends, like I said.

Other than meeting new people online, my life outside of the internet hasn't been affected at all by message boards.

A pretty positive one. It's turned me onto shows and singers that I'd normally look past and has given me a place where I can gush/fangirl over things that I can't do with most people irl.

The internet in general consumes like 80% of my time since I take a few online classes, but about 40% here.

That's how I feel too. I feel closer to the people online and I can talk and obsess and ramble more here than in real life and no one thinks I'm that crazy...kinda...umm..maybe they do...but it's okay.

I honestly care more about some of my friends on message boards far more than I care about my real life best friend. I feel bad about it. but no one in real life cares about the same things as I do. message board people have my same passions.

That's how I feel, too. Boards help you meet people from all over the world and one topic can lead you to an array of areas. Not too much it helps you broaden your views by hearing other people's thoughts.

Message boards have given me a chance to discuss things with a lot of people who have a lot of different ideas, and I've been able to share interests with other people who were equally interested in them.

If anything, they have enhanced my ability to have interesting things to say in conversation. But there has been no negative impact that I can see.

For me, message boards have been very positive. Fan Forum in particular has offered me the opportunity to get to know some amazing people I would never otherwise have been able to meet.

There are hundreds of different types of boards, :ff: just being one example as an entetainment forum. People's time spent here ranges from just when they want information about a show or celebrity to once and a while to every day, every hour.
How has that impacted your life? How much of your life is consumed by message boards - not just the Internet. How has the effected your family life, friendships?
Do you see message boards as a positive or a negative? It's great to meet new people and chat about things with people all over the globe verses I'm here all the time and my family and friends things it's bad for my sanity and I need to move on.
