MENTAL ILLNESS..........................?

This client does not understand the term "NO" and is always looking for a way to bend the rules.

When a member of staff tries to point out ways that it is not possible for her to have her own way, she will reason with them, very cleverly, with very quick comebacks, all of which makes sense from her standpoint, but cannot be done because it harms the interests of the company or causes some inconvenience to the staff trying to deal with her.

For example, she'll want to see the manager, but he'll be busy at a meeting and we'll let her know that he's busy and cannot see her, but this lady will say something like "I know I can't see him but surely you can pop in and say i'm here. I'll only be a few minutes".

IMAGINE THAT!!! INTERRUPTING YOUR BOSS AT A MEETING AND SAYING THIS LADY, WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT TO SEE YOU, WANTS TO HAVE A QUICK DISCUSSION WITH YOU!!!!

When you say no she gets very angry and speaks to you with in a diva-like attitude, making you feel like you're useless at your job, saying you have such a small mind that her point is hard to get to you when in fact you as a employee can't even consider any other options because those are the rules.

She can't empathize with the staff or even TRY to understand the position that she puts them in.

BUT she can also be very smart and reasonable when she wants to be; exhibiting normal behaviour and good-tempered attitude. The smallest thing triggers her brain though, something goes wrong and she explodes and theres no reasoning with her. Its black or white or wrong or right and theres nothing in between.

A case of Borderline/bipolar disorder???

How do you deal with these people?
