soo many people today have mental health problems...it seems like there's an explanation for everything. i should know because, jeez, i've had multiple anxiety disorders, mild depression, ADHD, etc and i'm only 19. i was miserable before therapy even though i tried everything -- willpower, prayer, inspirational quotes, exercise -- i was definitely in a fog and nothing i did had a lasting effect.
mental problems didn't just pop up did they? i know they didn't...so they've just always been there? how did they treat it in the olden days? would my condition have been labeled as "hysteria" and then i'd be off to some institution?
i always knew little boys were rambunctious...but there seems to be an ADHD phenomenon. does today's society have something to do with it?
how do you feel about there being a "label" for nearly everything? do you think it's necessary or excessive? and do you think today's world is just "too much" and that causes people to have problems?
