Men, what are some of the best books you've read?

I good guy friend of mine (he's 27) never reads, his birthday is coming up and I'd like to get him a good book. I read all the time and he makes fun of me. He says, "It'll be a miracle the day you can find me a book id actually want to read." So help me with a miracle, please.

It depends a lot on what his interests are. Most of the truly great books are pretty involved, so it's not likely he'd even make the effort.

I personally am a big fan of the Dune series by Frank Herbert.

"Dune" is the title of the first, I highly recommend it to you as well as your friend.

Well, I'm not a guy, but I'll answer anyway. ;P
Of course, my choices are rather limited... I'd go with either a thriller or humor. I can recommend one for humor: Good Omens, by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. This book is hilarious! I'd actually recommend it for anyone, really.

The Client, by John Grisham. Its one of the best books I've ever read. I'm not a guy, (I'm actually a 15 year old girl, but I love to read, and adult books interest me more than teenage stuff) but my dad also liked that book, and my mom did, and my brother-in-law (who is 23)... so I'm sure your friend will like it.
