Men: Do you appreciate the cooking/cleaning your wife/gf does, or do you expect it?

I lot of times I feel under-appreciated, like dh thinks it's "my job" to do all the cooking, cleaning, laundry, and child rearing. We both contribute financially (actually I make more than him). I admit, he does mow/rake the lawn and take out the trash, but I feel like I have a larger share of the work, and sometimes he makes comments like "I'd starve to death if I waited for you to feed me". To which I reply "You're a big boy, go make a sandwich, I'm not the maid!

Opinions?

Appreciate. And expect. Not through demanding it, it just becomes habit. We all fall into roles. You don't see my wife putting out the bins, mowing the lawn, picking up the dog poop etc etc. Hey, I'd wash the dishes, but it would be at around 10 pm. She can't accept that and does them straight away. Her choice.
