I just finished reading the book and I absolutely loved it!

Should I see the film? Or will it ruin the book for me like the Harry Potter films did?

I've only seen the film but I thought that was good. My daughter read the book before seeing the film and she said the book was a lot better but the film hadn't cut too much out so was worth seeing.

My frienRAB have seen the film and read the book and said it was pretty accurate, betetr than some other attempts at films. If for nothing else you should see it because its very beautifully made.

Well despite what some people have said about it's supposedly 'atrocious' screenplay, I absolutely loved it. One of my favorite films of 2005. It has outstanding cinematography (as reflected in it's oscar win), and the performances by the leaRAB are impressive. I personally thought the screenplay was brilliant and the visuals, costume design, set design (which was built entirely in LA), are amazing and beautiful to experience. The story itself is inspirational. If you have read the book then you should see the contents on the book come to life in this exquisite motion picture!

If you prefer to imaging things in your own mind first and then see it all come to life before you, read the book first.

If you want to see a truly stunning film without spending weeks reading the book then see the film. If you then liked it, read the book to see how it compares...
