Megan Fox out of Transformers 3

I think Megan is a good actress, she has alot of dry wit. I really like her in Jennifers Body.

I hope they don't recast an actress as Mikaela, that would be terrible, like Evie in Mummy 3 terrible! Recasting is just a kiss of death.

They could say Mikaela got ran over, thats kinda ironic.

well there going the right way to make this film better than the appauling 2nd film!!!

Got rid of the plastic pointless girlfriend who was only there for men to drool over!! Check!

Get rid of the horrendusly annoying parents!!! They have far to much screen time for whats meant to be a "Transformers" film

Make the film more Transfomer central.. expanding on the robots themselevs!!

Right now the films are all about Sam and his life... with occasional transformer moments

Is it just me things that is all wrong???

Looking at her was the only thing that made the films bearable tbh. And this is coming form a gay guy.

I don't think she's any less talented than the likes of Taylor Lautner, Channing Tatum and Robert Pattinson.

And re: the comments on Bay, Shia has said the exact same sort of things in interviews but nobody seems to bat an eyelash. Of course, he's not a beautiful and successful female so why would they? ;)

Kind of. The problem this thing has is the Transformers look a lot a like. At times it's easy to lose track of which one is which. This is where having the humans in it makes it easier follow the story.
This leaRAB into the need to have humans in it at all. We as viewers are able to ientify with them, their problems and what they are dealing with better than with the Transformers.
A Transformer is sad. How do you ? It lowers it's head and that's all. It's angry, how do you know? It raises it's voice and shouts. Its not easy for them to portray emotions and get us to connect with them on an emotional level.

Sure you could set the film on Transformer World (Never watched the cartoon so don't know what it's called) and just have endlesss battles for 2 hours but that will get dull very quickly. You need the down time to enjoy the up time. Think of it like watching boxing. You have two guys knocking lumps out of each other for the final minute. The bell goes and the action stops. In those few minutes your brain is processing what it saw and anticpating the next big moment.
If they didn't have rounRAB and just said fight until one falls you wouldn't get the same feelings of peaks and flows of excitement and adrenaline.

Back on topic of the thread there's a rumour that Gemma Arterton is replacing Megan in the films. A good pay day for her but is she needed? The female role is eye candy and could be given to an unknown.

I see what your saying... I agree removing humans completley would be a mistake, But I don't think we need many humans beyond Sam and maybe his girlfriend... or whoever is replacing her.

For instance... the 2nd film introduced Sam's roommate..... why??? it was pathetic.... he was yet another comedic and pointless character... who teamed up with that ex goverment guy now running a butchers shop to run around and make daft jokes....... well those roles were already filled by his daft parents... sigh

I agree, the transformers all look far to similar, it would be good to get them with striking yet different looks

Being of a shallow disposition, I enjoyed the first two flicks. However, by the same reasoning, the absence of Ms Fox does make seeing No.3 a considerably less tempting prospect.

I said not that bad. I'll reserve judgement on whether she's good until I've seen her in a film where you actually need to be a good actor. Like I said, the Transformers movies are hardly going to win you an Oscar.

I've seen her in 5ish films now, she's the same in everything more or less, and still looks the same from what I've seen of her new film Jonah Hex.

You can still show good acting in such films like Transformers. I mean, the Australian girl from the first Transformers movie was decent but was Oscar winning compared to Fox.

Not a great loss, i didn't mind her in Transformers, the second one however  she was the one who made me dislike the film (that and the fact i couldn't keep up with the MANY transformers).

You thought Isabelle Lucas was good? She was awful, and not much better on Home and Away. And she was in the second movie, not the first. Unless I've forgotten another Aussie in the first one?
